“As a South East based TV production company we are constantly reminded of the inconvenient close proximity to London. Most film and TV professionals living within commuting distance to the capital tend to think there aren't any serious attempts to get locally based broadcast production established on the south coast - outside of Brighton, that is. The two other major production centres, Pinewood and Maidstone studios to the east and west are conveniently positioned just outside the M25 orbital boundary and equally attract the London based workforce and expertise with their easy transport links or distance. However, other places outside these three hubs are left seemingly arid like a desolated 'no man's land'. But this isn't necessarily the truth. Our problem being regionally based south of London is mostly that nobody knows too much about anybody else's existence - apart from a couple or two. This is where this database comes into the frame.
“If you sign up and add yourself to the growing number of film and TV professionals, the region will put itself on the production map more easily. We need you to reinforce our visibility, and make it possible to guarantee a highest possible production standard when broadcasters decide to commission from South East based production outfits. We want to exist and deliver on par with London and other major production centres. So if you're based in the South East, please sign up while you're here.
