Business Angels

A Business Angel is someone who is looking for investment opportunities and agrees to invest in a company or business idea in return for an equity stake. In addition to this, they would normally provide management and mentoring support to help the company grow.

Angels for Growth

For investors, Angels for Growth offers access to a rich source of selected investment opportunities in early stage ventures. The network is primarily for Private Investors or "Business Angels" who can bring experience and contacts as well as capital. It provides the opportunity for investors to network and get to know other investors from the region.

British Business Angels Association

British Business Angels Association (BBAA) is promoting the recognition of Business Angel Networks (BANS) and organised angel groups. BBAA has a number of roles ranging from highlighting the contribution business angels make to the entrepreneurial culture to supporting its members and lobbying government to encouraging the exchange of best practice, experiences and ideas between its members. It specifically does not have a purpose to promote investment opportunities to investors or to advisers.

Oxfordshire Investment Opportunity Network

Oxford Investment Opportunity Network (OION) is an investment network that focuses on innovative technology companies with high growth potential. OION aims to match entrepreneurs seeking business development funds with business angels and other investors, and secures investment rounds of between £200,000 and £2 million for between 10 and 15 companies each year.

Seed Forum International Foundation

This Forum assists entrepreneurs and investors in reaching their goals. Since the beginning in 2002, it has hosted national and international investor match-making events and created unique opportunities for start-ups and venture capital. A nomination, selection and pitch training process takes place prior to each event. Seed Forum International is a non-profit foundation. Investment achieved through the Seed Forum process so far: €64,000,000 and rising.
