The East Sussex Enterprise Hub was one of the judges of the U. Brighton Innovation Awards this year. The Enterprise Hub finds that these awards are usually a rich sources of new ideas and innovations and this year was no exception.

Wired Sussex awarded grant to support 100 internships with local digital media businesses

AlphaBright, a dazzling VIS-NIR light source launched
With the help of the East Sussex Enterprise Hub and the Hastings based Product Development Centre, AlphaBright has launched a bright visible and near infra-red light source for spectroscopy and illumination applications where brightness and stability ensure low noise, high quality measurements. AlphaBright efficiently maximises the amount of light coupled into an optical fibre increasing the optical throughput and providing stable illumination for scientific measurements.

Out Post Sound complete work on new British feature film
East Sussex Enterprise Hub client out post sound has been frantically busy over the last few months putting the finishing touches to 'Too Close To The Truth - 31 North 62 East', a contemporary political thriller starring John Rhys Davies (Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones), Marina Sirtis (Star Trek; The Next Generation) and Heather Peace.

Energy Grant 500 - reduce your energy costs and carbon footprint
Through Business Link, the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) is offering Energy Grant 500 to help small businesses.
The project is designed to raise awareness of energy usage in the business. It provides a grant of up to £500 to implement changes that will result in reduced energy costs and a smaller carbon footprint.
