Want to help the environment and save money at the same time? Green Action Grant help you and your business become lean and green by awarding a cash sum of up to 500 pounds. Perhaps you have been thinking of upgrading to energy efficient lighting, setting up a rain water collection system or even buying a cardboard bailer to help with recycling. With a Green Action Grant you can make this a reality, so what are you waiting for?
Green Action Grants are designed to encourage businesses to implement a resource efficiency action that will achieve a quantifiable improvement in environmental performance. Grants are open to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), that are located in East Sussex.
They offer up to 500 pounds to meet 50% of the costs of schemes to reduce waste, energy or water in your company. It is a condition of the award that you agree to provide tangible data on the resource and cost savings resulting from the activities that you have carried out.
If successful the grant will be paid in arrears once you have completed your activity and we have visited to verify the work has been done.
"Applying for the grant was very easy!" said Susie Hill of Bertfords in Hastings, who put the 430 pounds they were awarded towards the cost of plastic draught excluding curtains to help insulate their factory, Susie commented "It'll keep the bills down. The cold affects our machines and is not good for morale. It really made 200% difference!"
