New Product Development Centre opened

The new Product Development Centre, at the Innovation Centre, in St Leonards-on-Sea has been officially opened by Hastings and Rye MP, Michael Foster.

The centre, funded by Sea Space, SEEDA, South East Knowledge Exchange and the European Union, is available for any businesses or individuals looking to develop new products using rapid prototyping or 3-D.

Local manufacturers have already taken advantage of the state of the art facilities. Peter Adlington from Plastipack Ltd said: “We're a modern, technology-driven company and we were able to put together a prototype model quickly using the PDC prototype. Having this facility and workstations locally has been such a benefit our business."

The Centre is now offering a series of courses to help local manufacturers – email the Product Development Centre now.
