Free Training Courses - Only available in 2010!
Aerospace, aviation and marine sector SMEs (<250 employees) based in the South East can send employees on fully funded short (1-5 day) technical training courses in 2010. This is a very cost effective (in fact, free!) way of helping companies up-skill in certain niche technical areas, without releasing employees for significant periods of time.
Courses eligible for funding cover subjects such Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD and Solidworks software), Computer Aided Milling/Machining, CNC, Metrology and Introduction to Composites. Additionally, courses on GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) will be of particular interest to certain companies, as these courses provide relevant hands-on skills to employees.
This program of fully funded short courses is part of the Skills 4 Technology program, which is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and South East England Development Agency (SEEDA). This funding source finishes at the end of 2010, so companies must book employees on a course in 2010 to benefit.
Please find at the bottom of this report a preview of funded courses available for 2010. An up-to-date list and full course info is always available at www.farn-ct.ac.uk/rrc.
ESF/SEEDA funding will finish at the end of 2010, so companies must book employees on a course in 2010 to benefit.
