IT Training Suite for Hire
A dedicated IT training suite equipped with 14 PCs and an interactive projector/smart board is now available to hire at the Innovation Centre in St Leonards.
This dedicated training facility is equipped with Microsoft Office 2007, Rhinoceros (NURBS) and SolidWorks (parametric) 3D CAD modeling packages, Proteus electronic CAD and the CS2 Adobe suite. There is also the opportunity to install other software licenses for specific training applications.
The facility is managed by the Product Development Centre (PDC) - run by the University of Brighton to bring best practice in product development to businesses, individuals and schools in the Hastings area. The Product Development Centre provides expertise in creativity, design concepts, 3D modelling and CAD, rapid prototyping, as well as wider subjects such as intellectual property and manufacturing.
David White, Director of the PDC, explains,
“We have this state of the art training facility which we use for software training courses; however, it is often sitting unused, so we decided to make it available to local businesses who may require such facilities.”
The charges for the training suite are GBP25 for an hour or GBP125 for a full day and include full use of all the equipment. David says
“If anyone would like to come and have a look at what we can offer, they would be very welcome.”
