One year after the launch of the London 2012 Business Network, over 54,000 companies have registered on CompeteFor – the website that publishes Games-related contract opportunities.

Over 8,600 companies from the south east have registered on the business to business site with more than �3.5bn of London 2012-related work won by 860 companies.

As the roof of the Olympic Stadium starts to take shape and the Big Build at the Olympic Park and Village pushes staff numbers up from 3,300 to 11,000 by 2010, the legacy of skills, work and infrastructure is starting to take place. The work, materials and equipment will all have to be provided by business.
