Businesses asked to help with broadband survey
Hastings and surrounding areas have access to high speed broadband - many areas have connections of up to 8 Mbps, and fibre links have recently become available in Hastings which give speeds of up to 100 Mbps and beyond.
Sea Space, Hastings Borough Council and business community partners are conducting research into businesses’ current broadband use and anticipated future requirements. The results will help local authorities and internet providers to plan improved services to meet demand.
This is the opportunity for businesses to give feedback on their current broadband use and what their business is likely to need in the future.
The survey is anonymous – we need only your postcode. There are 20 questions which should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
Dr Kevin Nicholson, Enterprise Manager at Sea Space says:
“It is an easy-to-do, online process. It is important that as many businesses as possible complete the questionnaire. This will give a statistically robust picture which will show where and how high speed broadband works well in the area and where it could work better.”
The survey closes on 16th March 2010, so an early response would be appreciated.
