Stevens Rowsell reach award finals
Hastings-based manufacturer Stevens Rowsell Engineering is set to represent Sussex in the regional finals of the MAS Manufacturing award.
The Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) in the South East provides support to manufacturers to help improve their business processes through training, coaching and best practice networking events, where businesses share ideas and successes for the good of all. A large part of the network success has been the contribution of over 40 manufacturing companies in Sussex, each participating because of their desire to continually improve in all elements of their business activities. It is from this pool of companies that Stevens Rowsell was voted the best practices exemplar for 2010.
The company now stands to be assessed alongside other regional winners for the overall title of South East Best Practice Exemplar.
Gary Barr from the Manufacturing Advisory Service South East said:
“Stevens Rowsell has been involved with the Sussex Best practice network for three years. Following a number of support interventions across the business, they have contributed greatly to the success of the group and continue to benefit from and drive continuous improvement as a model for business success”
Stuart Small, Managing Director of Stevens Rowsell adds:
“Over the last three years, the business has invested a lot of time and effort into better equipping our staff with practical skills and knowledge. This helps them to achieve higher levels of performance and competences which drive our growth and success“
“It is a great honour for us to have been nominated and thought of in high regard by the members of such a credible business solutions network. I’m delighted our achievements have been recognised and merited by so many leading Sussex manufacturing companies.“
MAS provides companies with practical, no nonsense support and help in all aspects of manufacturing; offering direct access to manufacturing experts with a proven track record and subsidised consultancy assistance where it is needed.
