How to get noticed by web surfers

Times are getting harder for businesses right now and it can be difficult to find new customers in a cost-effective way.

The issue of how to attract new customers in Hastings and St Leonards is being addressed by local company LocalSearch Teams.

"Businesses might have a listing in the big yellow directory that lies unopened in thousands of Hastings homes or maybe feature in those pricey 118 directory numbers," says Pete Mason, Director of LocalSearch Team.

Potential customers are increasingly looking online. In fact, over 61 per cent of consumers prefer to search online for local services than to use offline sources, according to a study of online consumers from TMP Marketing & ComScore Local Search Usage Study.

Traditionally companies have always neded a website, a knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation or a big advertising budget.

But LocalSearch Team, based at the Creative Media Centre in Hastings, has found there is another way.

"We wanted to provide a cost-effective way for Hastings and St Leonards businesses to get noticed online," says Pete Mason.

"They don't even need a website to be listed on Google, and this gives everybody a chance to be discovered.

"We have a solution for all budgets, from under a pound per day.

"We help companies advertise smarter, for less cost in the long term, whatever business they're in."
