Optician takes a fresh look at itself in the mirror
A St Leonards opticians is celebrating business success after taking a long, hard look at itself.
Barraclough and Stiles on London Road, St Leonards, took advice from local advisor Jonathan Winchester at Shopper Anonymous, and have undertaken a £70,000 refit of the store.
Now the shop - one of six in the Sussex-based Barraclough and Stiles chain - has seen sales increases of five per cent last year.

New Product Development Centre opens
The new Product Development Centre, at the Innovation Centre, in St Leonards-on-Sea has officially opened.
The centre, funded by Sea Space, SEEDA, South East Knowledge Exchange and the European Union, is available for any businesses or individuals looking to develop new products using rapid prototyping or 3-D.

Informed Financial Advice was founded in January 2006 by Darryl & Linda Tribbeck. They offer quality independent financial advice to both individuals and businesses, using the latest technology to provide an efficient quality service. They were originally based in Rye but due to immediate growth, were pleased to move to brand new offices at the Innovation Centre in St Leonards in September 2006, whilst taking on an experienced office manager, Robin Gibbs at the same time.

Rebuilt Marina Pavilion will re-open this year
A seafront landmark is set to be transformed into a new functions venue which will open later this year.
The Marina Pavillion, which has been shut for more than four years, has been taken over by a hospitality company called Lightening Leisure.
The firm wants to run it as a restaurant, entertainment, wedding and conference venue, with a beachfront cafe and complementary health and beauty suite clinic.......

Workplace wins new projects
Workplace Projects, the product and interior design consultancy based at the Innovation Centre has secured two important new contracts.
They will be providing interior design services for Hiscox Insurance's nine UK offices, and February will also see them start an exciting new office furniture product design project for German manufacturer Veyhl GmbH in Stuttgart.
